Rachel Andrew is a front and back-end web developer, author and speaker. Her books include the recent Get Ready For CSS Grid Layout for A Book Apart, and she is a regular contributor to a number of publications both on and offline. Rachel founded her web development company edgeofmyseat.com in 2001, the company initially offered web development consultancy and now concentrates on developing and supporting the CMS Perch. She writes about business and technology on her own site at rachelandrew.co.uk.

Helen Beal is a DevOpsologist who has spent the last couple of decades helping organisations make better software faster. At Ranger4 she specialises in taking organisations on transformational DevOps journeys to the point where they can measure from ideation to realisation. Helen is also a novelist and ecologist.

Pete Bacon Darwin

Pete is a core member of the Angular team. He has the led development of Angular 1 since the end of 2014, releasing Angular versions 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6. He has written a book on AngularJS, gives talks and workshops on Angular and is a co-organiser of AngularConnect.

Jack is a Senior JavaScript Developer at Songkick in London where he works on React and Angular applications. He is a regular blogger, conference speaker and spends most of his time thinking about React, Elm and JavaScript tooling. He’s the author of “Beginning jQuery” (Apress 2013) and has taught numerous workshops on React, ES2015 and more.

Vitaly Friedman loves beautiful content and does not give up easily. From Minsk in Belarus, he studied computer science and mathematics in Germany, discovered the passage a passion for typography, writing and design. After working as a freelance designer and developer for 6 years, he co-founded Smashing Magazine, a leading online magazine dedicated to design and web development. Vitaly is the author, co-author and editor of all Smashing Books. He currently works as editor-in-chief of Smashing Magazine.

Lorna is based "up north" in Leeds; she is a web development consultant, technical trainer and published author. She brings her technical expertise to audiences all over the world with her writing and speaking engagements, delivering topics from git to API development and tools, all with a very practical slant. In her spare time, Lorna runs the joind.in open source project and blogs at lornajane.net.

Meri is a geek, a manager, and a manager of geeks. She’s a CTO and also runs micro-consultancy ChromeRose, helping digital & technical teams be brilliant. An alumna of Procter & Gamble and the Government Digital Service, she has had a career spanning development, project, programme & product management and more recently engineering & operations leadership. She’s led teams ranging in size from 30 to 300, mostly with folks spread across the world.
